Who you talk to and what to ask

How Our Network Works for Homeowners

Who Picks Up the Phone

When you reach out, you are connected with an independent coating provider in our network. That person runs their own business. They are not an employee of Neighborstrials Floor Coating, and Neighborstrials Floor Coating does not do the work. Think of us as a switchboard. We route the call, and the provider takes it from there.

What the Provider May Ask You

Expect a few simple questions. A good provider wants to picture your floor before quoting it. They may ask:

  • How big is the space, and is it a garage, patio or indoor room?
  • Is there an old coating, paint or sealer on the concrete?
  • Do you see cracks, stains, peeling or damp spots?
  • Does water pool on the floor after storms?
  • Do you want a certain look, such as custom floor finishes?

Photos can help. They also help you spot patterns, like moisture that returns every wet season.

Questions to Put to a Provider

A quote is only as clear as the questions behind it. Try these:

  • How will you prep the concrete, and with what equipment?
  • How will you check for moisture before coating?
  • What products will you use, and why for this floor?
  • What is included in the written quote, and what is extra?
  • How long before I can walk and drive on it?
  • What does the warranty cover, and who backs it?

Ask for answers in writing. Prices vary by job, so a written quote beats a rough number over the phone.

The Decision Is Yours

Hiring is like choosing a doctor. You listen, ask, and then decide who you trust. You can talk to more than one provider. You can also decline. Neighborstrials Floor Coating will not pressure you either way.
